Ted Gastineau is the CEO and co-founder of ICON Medical Imaging. During his more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, his experience includes hospital critical care, university teaching hospitals, academic medical research, pharmaceutical drug development and contract research organizations. He is the co-founder and past President of Intelligent Imaging, a high-tech pharmaceutical research company specializing in medical imaging technology acquired by Quintiles, Inc in 1997. From 1997 through 2000, Mr. Gastineau served as Senior Vice President, Quintiles Inc. and Business Unit Head with global responsibilities. Prior to founding Intelligent Imaging, Mr. Gastineau served in executive positions in various companies including Bio-Imaging Technologies Inc. with responsibility for R&D, marketing and strategic development. Mr. Gastineau is a founding partner of Valley Road Ventures, LLC, a business incubator and management consulting company. He has started several successful companies and has been involved in venture funding of early start-ups concluding in acquisitions or initial public offerings. He currently serves on the Board of Technology Resource Alliance, Appalachian Medical Research and Valley Road Ventures. Mr. Gastineau has held academic positions with the University of Maryland, John Hopkins School of Medicine, Cambridge University and the Smithsonian Institution. Mr. Gastineau received a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Marshall University and pursued a PhD in neurophysiology before founding Intelligent Imaging. |
