Ted David was part of the launch team that put CNBC on the air in April 1989. Currently, David is Senior Anchor, CNBC Business Radio. He is heard daily, coast-to-coast, during morning and afternoon drive time on scores of CNBC Business Radio affiliates.
Most recently, he was co-anchor of CNBC's "Morning Call" and anchored breaking news from the CNBC Alerts Desk.
David has interviewed CEOs, top leaders in government, commerce, and industry. Daily radio duties include continuous reporting on the stock and bond markets, commodities, and corporate movers and shakers.
Prior to joining CNBC, he was an ABC News correspondent for eight years and specialized in general news, as well as medical and consumer issues. He has 37 years of local and network radio experience.
David has won numerous awards, including a National Press Club citation for Best Consumer Journalism; the Ohio State Award for Excellence in Educational, Informational and Public Affairs Broadcasting; and the American Cancer Society’s Gaspar Award.
David holds a bachelor's and master's degree and was licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York State in 1981. He holds a certificate in Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets from the New York Institute of Finance.
He and Jane, his wife of 32 years, have two grown sons. |
