Dr. Conklin is the Chairman, Chief Medical Officer and founder of Carena. He has more than 14 years of clinical experience as a family practitioner. After completing his residency at Oregon Health Sciences University, he spent eight years as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Washington Medical School teaching in Swedish Hospital’s Family Practice Residency program. He also served as Assistant Chief of Family Medicine, Chief of Family Medicine and as a Quality Management Representative at Swedish Medical Center. From 1995 to 1998, Dr. Conklin worked with Swedish Partners Medical Group. In 1998 he founded Elliott Bay Physicians, which soon became Carena’s first contracted medical group. Dr. Conklin is a member of the Washington State Medical Society, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and is Board Certified in the specialty of Family Medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Washington and was named one of Seattle’s Top Docs by his peers in 2000 and 2002, as reported in Seattle Magazine. He holds a bachelor’s and an MD degree from Tufts University and has completed Post Graduate Training at Oregon Health Sciences University, Family Medicine. |
