Ted is the executive vice president of Grunau Company, a position he has held since 1990. Ted oversees operations in the Orlando fire protection office and handles all insurance, safety, labor and legal issues. He also is responsible for the Lean Construction program throughout the company, a construction philosophy that seeks to maximize value and minimize waste. Ted joined Grunau in 1977 as a project manager. Ten years later, he was promoted to vice president of operations, where he was responsible for planning, productivity and cost control of all Grunau Company field and shop operations. Ted holds a plumber's license in the state of Wisconsin, Florida and New York City. He also has attended Milwaukee Technical Vocational School, Milwaukee Technical School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He recently completed the Lean master facilitator program at Milwaukee School of Engineering. He is a member of the Sheet Metals and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association-Wisconsin (SMACNA) Labor Committee and Board of Directors. |
