Theodore F. Haussman, Jr. is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. For his nearly ten years of practice, Ted has focused on complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, including environmental liability, class action consumer liability, fraud, product liability, breach of contract, and lender liability claims.
Commercial Litigation. Ted has defended a number of large corporations in a variety of contaminated property disputes, including those in which federal statutory, state statutory and common law claims have been raised.
In addition, he has defended a large energy company from asbestos claims and one of the largest commercial residential mortgage lenders in the United States from lead paint and mold claims.
Lender Liability. Ted also represents the same mortgage lender in lawsuits filed by consumers seeking remedies under the Truth in Lending Act, Home Ownership Equity Protection Act, Real Estate Settlement Practices Act, and the state analogs of those statutes.
Fraud/Consumer Protection Claims. Ted has additional experience defending the firm’s clients in complex class action matters involving claims of fraud and deceit and pursuant to other consumer protection statutes.
