Taylor Morton enters his eighth year with the Falcons player personnel department and is responsible for scouting the southeastern states for the organization. Prior to becoming a college scout, Morton served in pro personnel as an advance scout for the Falcons opponents, as well as, evaluating future free agent prospects for the team, scouting other professional leagues, including the NFL, NFL Europe and the CFL.
Taylor joined the Falcons after coaching eight years in the college ranks. His stints included Auburn University (1995 -1996) and at the Mississippi JC ranks at Hinds CC and Pearl River CC.
He began his coaching career at Southern Miss after a career ending knee injury earning both a Masters and a B.S. degree in sports administration. Taylor is a native of the Destin, Florida area where he attended Niceville High School and was a member of the 1988 4A state championship football team.
He and his wife, Carissa, have two sons, Thomas and Joshua. They reside locally in Dacula,Ga. |
