Dr. Tathagata 'Das' Dasgupta is Executive Vice President at Xavor spearheading the strategic management consulting services group, with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management through Process-driven transformations and enabling technology solutions. Prior to Xavor, Das was Senior Vice President of Nexgenix, where he was responsible for Strategic Opportunity Assessments, Product Marketing, Business development, and Presales groups for their Next Generation Supply Chain product suite, called "IX Platform". Before Nexgenix, Das was the Supply Chain Practice Director in Answerthink Consulting Group, an offshoot of KPMG Peat Marwick. Prior to Answerthink, Das was a Senior Manager of the Strategic Opportunity Assessment group at i2 Technologies, a leading provider of Supply Chain Planning software solutions. For over a decade, Das has been delivering strategic and tactical solutions for Supply Chain Management at such companies as Air Products, JC Penney, Frito Lay, Texas Instruments, Warner Brothers, Qualcomm, and several others. Das is also an Adjunct Professor of Operations and Decision Technologies in University of California at Irvine, where he teaches Executive MBA students graduate courses on Supply Chain Management and Operations Management. He is also an Adjunct Professor of The Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management, and an Associate Professor of the School of Advanced Studies in University of Phoenix Online, where he teaches doctoral courses on Transformational Leadership and Strategic Management with a focus on Emerging Managerial Practices, while chairing several doctoral dissertation committees. Das earned two doctoral degrees - in Operations Research, and in Business Administration, from Penn State University in 1998, and a Masters degree in Statistics from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1992. |
