Tate is an associate in the business law department and focuses his practice primarily on health law while servicing a wide range of clients, including hospitals, long-term care providers, managed care organizations, ancillary providers, home care providers and other healthcare companies. Tate counsels his clients on a variety of federal and state regulatory compliance matters, including HIPAA compliance, physician self-referral law issues, fraud and abuse issues, and a myriad of healthcare operational issues, including contracts between healthcare companies, certificate of need, Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment and reimbursement issues. Tate also has extensive experience working on healthcare transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring transactions. Prior to joining Kennedy Covington, Tate worked as a healthcare associate with a law firm in Louisville, Kentucky.
