Dr. Tara L.A. Moore is a Managing Engineer in Exponent's Biomechanics practice. Dr. Moore addresses issues involving traumatic human injury. She has expertise in the areas of human tolerance to forces especially tolerance of bones to traumatic and repetitive loading injuries. Her work includes analysis of injuries occurring in transportation and occupational accidents and injuries involving consumer products. Her research activities have included studies of bone mechanics the mechanics of cellular materials materials systems for rapid prototyping and fatigue of materials. Dr. Moore also has extensive experience and training in microscopy rapid prototyping manufacturing systems and aerospace engineering.
Dr. Moore holds academic appointments as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Temple University and as a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. Prior to joining Exponent Dr. Moore was a Research Assistant at the Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School and in the Cellular Solids Lab in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
