Ms. Skinner joined eSecuritel in June 2007 with over 22 years experience in the financial services industry. She designed and developed two enterprise risk management programs at two Top 50 U.S. Banks, one of which is a Fortune 1000 company. Prior to joining eSecuritel, she was the Chief Risk Officer and Executive Vice President of The South Financial Group. She speaks in various conferences on the fundamentals of enterprise risk management and its implementation challenges. Recent presentations include Getting Enough from your Risk Assessment Process (The Conference Board’s Enterprise Risk Management Conference: Unleashing the Value of ERM, November 2006) and Constructing and Applying a Successful ERM Strategy (OpRisk USA 2007 Conference). Ms. Skinner co-authored a book for the American Bankers Association, The Bank Executive’s Guide to Enterprise Risk Management (2006) and penned the opinion piece, In Defense of AMA Methodology, for Oprisk and Compliance (February 2006). She has also been featured on several ERM webcasts for the American Bankers Association and for the Conference Board. Ms. Skinner is the Executive Committee Chairperson of the Conference Board’s Strategic Risk Management Council. She is also a licensed property and casualty insurance agent. Ms. Skinner holds a BA from Nicholls State University and an MBA from Louisiana State University. She is also a Ph.D. candidate at the International School of Management in Paris, her graduate thesis exploring the risks and uncertainties inherent in business and the development of corporate metrics for risk-adjusted decision-making. |
