Tanya D’Souza focuses her practice in intellectual property law, including U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, patent litigation, and enforcement of copyrights. Her patent preparation and prosecution experience is in diverse technology areas, such as pharmaceutical, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology and other biotechnology-related intellectual property, as well as in printing and image technology and polymer chemistry. Tanya’s other intellectual property experience includes licensing, due diligence analysis for mergers and acquisitions, freedom to operate and non-infringement opinions. In 2000 Tanya served as an instructor for the Howard Hughes Life Science Summer Program, and from 1994-2000 she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Iowa where she taught genetics and plant biology. From 2001 to 2002, she was a member of the Journal of Corporation Law and served as an Associate Editor from 2002 to 2003. |
