Tamir Levinas has been head of the technical department for Internet Gold (NASDAQ: IGLD) involving direct responsibility for more than fifty technicians and engineers. He has managed all aspects of the technical department including road map design project management and engineering. Tamir’s teams have included Network Engineering Unix Systems Data Center Systems-NT Help Desk Infrastructure NOC and Telephony & Voice Engineering.
He initiated and lead a strategic plan to transform Internet Gold from an ISP to a full service carrier performing numerous projects including enterprise connectivity services (MPLS VPNS) introducing and implementing QOS and choosing and implementing a Softswitch for advanced VOIP service for international voice telephony services.
Tamir has also been responsible for technical vendor relations and procurement with companies such as Cisco Microsoft IBM HP Network Appliances. His responsibilities included annual technical department budget planning.
Tamir earned his Bachelors Degree in Business and IT Management from IDC Herzelia and also studied computer science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. |
