Ms. Mann is a Certified Emergency Manager with more than 16 years of hands-on experience in emergency management mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery, which includes top positions at the state and local level, as well as working as an independent consultant. She served on the Indiana State Emergency Management Committee, taking part in developing and implementing SEMA’s aggressive Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan for the state and its 92 counties. Ms. Mann is well versed in the requirements of the National Response Plan and the National Incident Management System. Using a personally developed methodology, Ms. Mann has developed, conducted, evaluated and implemented after-action reports for multiple exercises and offers extensive experience in the Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP). In addition, Ms. Mann has been trained and qualified as an Emergency Management Accreditation Assessor and is awaiting assignment to participate in an assessment. She worked on behalf of a number of states seeking this coveted distinction and brings a wealth of knowledge about how to identify and remedy potential weaknesses to help jurisdictions earn their accreditation.
