Dr. Tamás Várady is a key advisor to Geomagic on CAD surfacing and leads the company's development team in Hungary. Dr. Várady was President of Cadmus Consulting LLC, a pioneer in developing new methods for computer-aided geometric design, until the company was acquired by Geomagic in October 2003. He directed the geometric modeling laboratory for 20 years and now he is a senior research fellow at the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where he earned his doctorate degrees. Dr. Várady is a member of the editorial board of the Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Geometric Design Journals, and the author or co-author of 72 research papers, 53 of which have been published in refereed journals or conference proceedings. |
