Tal brings 20 years of software development and information technology management experience to EmergingMed. As Senior Director of Application Development at Skila, a global healthcare intelligence company, Tal delivered many of the company's new product releases and led the change of product architecture from a desktop application to a web-based platform. As the company grew from 15 to over 100 employees, he designed and managed development of numerous applications integrating multi-sourced healthcare information in to a single delivery platform. Most recently Tal managed both system and development teams for Pearson Education's global family of language instruction products. He was instrumental in the launch of Pearson's 24x7 application service provider (ASP) based hosted platform as well the associated CD-ROM based products. Previously, Tal developed software for NYNEX's Expert Systems Group and served on the Computing Resources Group steering committee. At Philips Labs, he assisted the company's transition from proprietary to open technologies and was involved in the development of an interactive video and data services application. Tal holds a M.Sc. degree in computer science from Columbia University in New York. |
