Takesh Nakayama is an associate in Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP's Tokyo office.
Takesh advises on finance, capital markets and corporate transactions, and regularly represents multinational corporations, utilities and global financial institutions.
Takesh's recent representations include, among others: the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and other ECAs on the multi-billion dollar project financing of the Ambatovy laterite nickel mine project in Madagascar; various major Japanese corporations in relation to global securities offerings; Olympus Capital Holdings Asia in the share collateral backed recapitalization and acquisition financing in connection with its acquisition of Arysta LifeScience Corporation; and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation and NIS Group in connection to periodic SEC reporting requirements as well as various corporate governance issues.
Prior to joining Milbank, Takesh worked in the Perth office of Clayton Utz in Australia on energy and natural resources projects. Prior to working in Australia, Takesh was an in-house counsel of Mitsubishi Corporation in Tokyo.
Takesh is admitted in New York State and the District of Columbia in the United States and in New South Wales in Australia. He received a J.D. and a M.A. (International Relations) from Syracuse University, and a B.A. from New York University. He is fluent in, and negotiates and drafts documents in, both English and Japanese. |
