Mr. Hanafusa joined Blue29 in 2004 as chief operating officer, on assign- ment from Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. He brings 25 years of inter- national business experience to support this joint venture with KLA-Tencor.
Prior to joining Blue29, Mr. Hanafusa’s career with Dainippon Screen included positions as General Manager of the Marketing Department. In this position, he managed marketing activities for semiconductor equipment and played a key role in establishing important strategic alliances with international companies and institutes. Previously, Mr. Hanafusa was president of Dainippon Screen Deutschland GmbH, where he headed European operations of their semiconductor equipment business and led a staff of 90. Prior to that, Mr. Hanafusa was President of Dainippon Screen France SA, responsible for a sales subsidiary in France distributing equipment for the printing industry.
Mr. Hanafusa received his B.A. from the Sophia University Tokyo’s Department of French Literature.
