Current responsibility
Hoshino joined Milliman’s Tokyo office in November 2000. He is responsible for providing consulting services to insurance companies in Japan and abroad in the fields of demutualization, actuarial appraisal for mergers and acquisitions, US GAAP / statutory actuarial modeling, EEV/MCEV, and economic capital development.
Experience
Prior to joining Milliman, Hoshino spent eight years with the Dai-ichi Mutual Life Insurance Company, where he was responsible for profit management and corporate planning with the actuarial department and personnel department. He also gained extensive work experience in the United States as a trainee at Lincoln National.
He is a member of the Institute of Actuaries of Japan (IAJ) Committee that reports to the International Actuarial Association’s insurance regulation committee. He was also formerly a member of other IAJ committees such as the dissertation committee.
