Taisa Markus is partner in the Global Securities Group and is resident in the New York office. Her practice focuses primarily on cross-border securities offerings, cross border bank finance and structured finance and general securities law matters. Ms. Markus has significant experience representing both financial institutions and issuers particularly in the Latin American and European capital markets.
Ms. Markus is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law (J.D. 1986 cum laude) and Loyola University (B.S. 1983 cum laude). After law school, Ms. Markus served as an intern at the Cardenas law firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has lectured and been published on various securities law topics and issues related to pro bono legal services in emerging markets.
In 2007, Chambers USA ranked Ms. Markus as an up and coming attorney to watch in Latin American Investments. She fluently speaks and can conduct business in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese and Ukrainian. |
