As Vice-President, Clinical Development, Dr. Sylvie Bouchard, MD, PhD. will oversee the clinical development of Labopharm's product pipeline, with particular emphasis on its in-house projects.
Prior to her appointment Dr. Bouchard held several important medical and clinical positions at Sandoz Canada Inc., most recently acting as Vice-President and Medical Director. As such, she was responsible for setting research strategies in Canada and North America, overseeing research projects involving over 200 Canadian hospitals, universities and testing centers. Dr. Bouchard was also involved in international research projects at Sandoz. Working in France and Switzerland she managed over 25 clinical research projects as Head of the Therapeutic Area on The Central Nervous System.
Dr. Bouchard is a medical graduate from Université Laval with residency training in family medicine at Université de Montréal. She also obtained a doctorate in science (neurochemistry) from Université Laval. She has published over 20 articles in scientific and medical journals. With her background in medicine, clinical research management, and the clinical development of products from Phase I through to Phase IV, Dr. Bouchard is ideally suited to oversee the clinical development of Labopharm's product pipeline. |
