Sylvester "Sly" Johnson is vice president and controller for 7-Eleven,Inc. He joined the company in December 2000 as deputy controller.
Previously, he was vice president of finance at The Dallas Morning News. For more than seven years Johnson worked at Pepsico, Inc. and Tricon Global Restaurants Inc, as senior finance manager for Tricon Supply Chain Management and Pepsico Food Systems. He was also a manager in Pepsico’s domestic corporate audit function in Dallas. In addition, his background includes nearly 10 years of auditing experience, with increasing levels of responsibility at Coopers & Lybrand.
Johnson has a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s of business administration degree from the Rubel School of Business at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky. |
