Suzanne currently serves as Ciena’s Chief Communications Officer, with responsibility for leading the company's corporate communications group, overseeing public, industry analyst and investor relations, as well as internal communications. Suzanne joined Ciena in June 1997 as Director, Investor Relations, and was promoted to Vice President, Investor Relations in June 2000 before assuming her current role in October 2004.
Prior to joining Ciena, Suzanne held the position of manager, investor relations, at Cascade Communications Corp., a telecommunications equipment provider based in Westford, Massachusetts acquired by Ascend Communications. Her previous experience in Investor Relations includes an account executive role at Sharon Merrill Associates, a Boston-based corporate communications consulting firm where she worked with clients in the high-tech, retail, and financial services industries.
She holds a master's degree in business administration with a business communication concentration from Bentley College, Waltham, MA and a bachelor's degree in communications from Emerson College, Boston, MA. |
