Ms. DeWalt is a Shareholder and Director of the firm and is the Chair of the firm's Litigation Services Group. Ms. DeWalt is an experienced trial attorney with a diverse civil litigation practice. She devotes a significant amount of her practice to defending businesses in discrimination and other employment-related actions. In addition to employment litigation, she also represents clients in commercial litigation and construction law disputes. Ms. DeWalt has tried numerous jury, non-jury and arbitration cases and has prepared and argued many cases on appeal. Apart from the litigation context, she also advises businesses in a wide range of human relations and employment issues, including employee handbooks, personnel policies, employment agreements and restrictive covenants. Ms. DeWalt is a frequent speaker on employment and litigation topics. She is active in various community organizations.
