Susan Wang became an independent director of Calpine in June 2003, and is the chair of the audit committee and a member of the executive committee. From January 2001 to February 2002, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Solectron Corporation. Prior to that, Ms. Wang was the Manager of Financial Services for Xerox Corporation. She obtained a master of business administration degree from University of Connecticut in 1981 and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas in 1972. Ms. Wang is a certified public accountant in New York and served as chairman of the Financial Executive Research Foundation from 1998 to 1999. She also serves as a director of Altera Corp., Avanex Corp. and Nektar Therapeutics. |
