As managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Susan Hooper is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy throughout the EMEA market. Prior to joining Royal Caribbean, Hooper served as commercial vice president, EMEA, for Avis Europe. In that capacity, she was responsible for overseeing the company's global and regional sales, brand marketing, corporate strategy, e-Commerce, pricing, revenue and yield management, and customer-contact centers. Hooper also has held senior positions in general management, brand marketing and strategy with PepsiCo, Frito-Lay International and the global consulting firm McKinsey & Company in both Eastern and Western Europe. In the 1980s, she developed some of the world's largest and best-known consumer brands at the advertising firms Saatchi & Saatchi, Young & Rubicam and Benton & Bowles in Germany. Hooper earned bachelor's and master's degrees in international politics and economics from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (S.A.I.S). |
