Susan P. Persichilli's practice focuses on bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors' rights issues, with emphasis on the representation of secured and unsecured creditors, bank groups, investors, landlords and tenants, licensors, and shareholders in contested and litigated bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts.

Susan is a shareholder with the New York City office of the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. She is a member of the firm's Financial Services Group and Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group.
Susan has represented creditors and other parties in some of the larger bankruptcy cases, including Worldcom, Enron, Exodus, Global Crossings, Delta Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Susan was an associate for a New York firm, where she practiced in its bankruptcy group. Previously, she was with a Long Island firm, where she was responsible for the supervision and administration of the bankruptcy department. She represented institutional lenders and other creditors in bankruptcy litigation and restructuring scenarios.
Susan served with the Legal Aid Society's Juvenile Rights division for four years, where she litigated cases on behalf of children up to 16 years of age in areas of criminal, civil, adoption, custody, neglect, abuse, educational rights and termination of parental rights. She was also among the group that spearheaded the New York City office's expanded pro bono efforts, matching the office's attorneys with the new Bronx Children's Museum.
In addition to her degrees, Susan attended The Queens College, University of Oxford in its summer law program. She has received an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell. |
