Susan Mersereau was elected senior vice president, Information Technology, and chief information officer in February 2003. From 1998 to 2003 she served as vice president, organizational effectiveness, for the Containerboard Packaging, and Recycling Business.
Mersereau began her career with Weyerhaeuser in 1980 as a program manager in Information Systems, where she held various positions before assuming the role of vice president, Weyerhaeuser Information Systems, in 1988. In 1992 she was named vice president, Weyerhaeuser Business Services and Aviation.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Scripps College, a master’s in history from the University of Chicago and a master’s in organizational systems from Antioch University. She also completed the Stanford University Senior Executive Program.
She currently serves as a member of the Weyerhaeuser Foundation Board of Trustees. She has served as a board member for King County Junior Achievement, King County United Way, the Northwest International Women’s Conference and as a national board member for the Society for Information Management (SIM). In addition, she has been on the conference board for the Council for Shared Services Executives and the board of the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory. |
