Ms. Hill was a Director of Factory Point Bancorp, Inc. from 1992 to 2007. Factory Point was a publicly traded one bank holding company for a $330 million community bank headquartered in Manchester Center, Vermont which was acquired by Berkshire in September, 2007. During her entire tenure as a director, she was a member of the Audit Committee and the Loan Committee, both of which she chaired at different times. Ms. Hill, a Certified Public Accountant, is founder and President of Hill & Thompson, P.C., an accounting firm that she established in 1992. In addition to traditional tax and accounting services, her firm provides management consulting to small businesses; assistance with financing, acquisitions and sales; and performance measurement. Her firm specializes in the hospitality industry and serves innkeeping, restaurant and tourism-related clients throughout New England. She has addressed 3 national conferences of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International and several regional innkeeping seminars in New England. Hill has also served as an instructor for the American Institute of Banking and the Small Business Development Center for the University of Vermont Extension Service. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants; she is also a Certified Financial Planner. Hill was recognized by the Small Business Administration in 2000 as Vermont’s Accountant Advocate of the Year, and she has received numerous other honors and awards for her civic and professional work. |
