Ms. Wheatley is a partner in the Tax, Probate and Estate Planning Department of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. Ms. Wheatley received her B.A. in history in 1982 from Yale University and her J.D. in 1986 from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served on the Northwestern University Law Review. She is the chair of the firm’s Estate Planning Practice and co-chair of the firm’s Family Business Planning Practice. She is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association Specialty Board as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law and is past president of the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council and past chair of the Estate Planning and Probate Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association. She has taught estate planning as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She also is a co-founder of the Walnut Street Poetry Society of the Mercantile Library in Cincinnati and serves on the library’s Board of Directors. Ms. Wheatley is listed as a 2008 Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnati Magazine and is listed in the 2006 and 2008 editions of The Best Lawyers in America. She is a member of the 2006-2007 class of the Leadership Cincinnati training program conducted by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and is also a member of the Steering Committee of Leadership Cincinnati.
