Susan C. Swan is vice president of customer operations for Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy. She recently assumed full-time responsibility
for leadership of the CEA Project, a major company initiative to replace more than 100 aging computer systems with the business software SAP. In this role, Swan will be responsible for fully optimizing the investment and ensuring
that customer service, operational improvements and financial benefits are achieved. Prior to assuming this role, Swan was responsible for managing customer operations,
which includes customer billing, call center operations, revenue recovery, customer assistance, meter reading, commercial and industrial account management,
and marketing and customer research. Prior to 2004, Swan served as the executive manager of electric services, responsible
for field operations for electric transmission and distribution. Previously,
she held increasingly responsible positions as an electric operations field manager, commercial services manager, marketing field representative and customer service representative.Swan graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School in 2002.She has served on the boards of Junior Achievement, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Business and Industry Council in Lansing. She currently serves on the Boards of THAW (The Heat and Warmth Fund) and Elderlaw of Michigan.Swan lives with her husband in Mason, Michigan. She has three grown children. |
