Experience-Susan works with clients to evaluate their estate planning needs and determine the appropriate vehicles that will enable them to achieve their financial goals. She is experienced in the preparation of a variety of estate planning instruments, ranging from generation skipping trusts to private foundation bylaws. Before joining Pierce Atwood in 2003, Susan was associated with the firms of Curtis Thaxter Stevens Broder & Micoleau and Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry. Her previous professional experience is in educational publishing at the secondary and collegiate levels. Education Susan earned a B.A. in American Studies from Skidmore College (1970). She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law (1994), where she was an editor of the Law Review and a legal writing instructor. Following law school, she was a law clerk to Chief Justice Daniel E. Wathen of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Bar Admissions Susan is admitted to practice in Maine.
