Susan A. Smith, based in the firm's Washington, DC office, has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation, trademark prosecution, and related counseling. She has litigated numerous trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property actions in federal and state courts. Her practice also involves counseling clients in the evaluation and protection of trademarks, as well as prosecution of trademark applications in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and enforcement of trademark rights before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also manages clients' worldwide trademark portfolios, working with foreign counsel to protect and enforce trademark rights abroad. Ms. Smith received a B.A. from Brown University in 1987, and a J.D. from Washington University in 1994.
