Sung Jong Hwa, aged 50, is the founder and Managing Director of Next Telecommunications Sdn Bhd. He started his career with LG Electronics Co Ltd (formerly known as Goldstar Co Ltd) in Korea. He was later assigned to LG in Australia to manage the operation over there. In 1990, he was transferred to Malaysia to conduct feasibility studies in the South East Asian market and was appointed the Managing Director of LG Electronics Co Ltd where he left in 1997. Having gained wide exposure in the electronics, IT and communications industry, he decided to venture into the telecommunications industry by setting up Next Telecommunications Sdn Bhd in 1998. Mr Sung holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics majoring in Foreign Trade from Sung Kyun Kwan University in Seoul, Korea. |
