Sundip Murthy is a Vice President focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the Consumer and Retail sectors. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Murthy was a Vice President at Ripplewood Holdings where he worked on private equity investments in the consumer, retail, industrials, chemicals and telecom sectors. Mr. Murthy has previously worked in the Merchant Banking (Principal Investing) and Investment Banking divisions of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in London and New York, respectively. He has also worked at McKinsey & Co. as a strategy consultant.
Mr. Murthy received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He earned a B.A. with Highest Distinction in economics and biology from Cornell University.
Mr. Murthy currently serves on the Board of Directors of Oriental Trading Company and is an Officer of Dunkin’ Brands, Inc. |
