Sumeet’s practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of telecommunications (including wireless and optical communications, and telephony applications), Internet/information technology, computer architecture with a particular emphasis on processor operation and design, memory controllers and cache coherency, speech recognition systems, and computer software. His practice also includes the preparation of validity, infringement and patentability opinions, procurement of other IP rights such as copyrights and trademarks, and IP litigation support.
Sumeet previously worked as a telecommunications project engineer where he was heavily involved in the design and implementation of Synchronous Optical Networks (SONET) for high-speed wide area voice and data communications. He also has experience in microwave and high-speed fiber optics communication technologies.
