Sue Lehrman, Ph.D. has been a member of the Ellis Hospital Board of Trustees since 2000, and currently serves as vice chair of the board and chair of the Executive Compensation and Planning Committees. She also is a member of the board's Executive, Governance and Joint Conference Committees.
Dr. Lehrman is president of Union Graduate College . She has been the director of the Union College Graduate Management Institute since 1999 and dean of all Union graduate programs since 2002. She introduced an innovative program to enhance local and regional awareness of Union 's graduate programs, resulting in a dramatic increase in financial contributions and a 50 percent increase in enrollments. Additionally, Dr. Lehrman launched a research/consulting center aimed at introducing business concepts to not-for-profit organizations and providing a vehicle for rejuvenating the research agendas of nonproductive faculty members. She is a founding member of the U-Start Business Incubator, a successful joint venture between local business leaders and Union College , and she is a nationally known health services researcher focusing on the evaluation of services for the HIV infected and affected population.
Dr. Lehrman's involvement in the community is extensive. In addition to serving on the Ellis Board, she is a current or recent board member of the U-Start Business Incubator, Gilda's Club, New York State Industries for the Disabled and Schenectady Family and Child Services, all located in the Capital Region.
Dr. Lehrman received a bachelor's degree in Education from Oregon State University, a master's degree in Public Health and a doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley . |
