Sue Eckel - VP, Business Development Sue Eckel - VP Business Development Working with large enterprise accounts requires hands-on experience in purchasing management and an in-depth understanding of the complexity of the supply chain. As VP, Business Development for Storeroom Solutions, Sue Eckel demonstrates both. Whether introducing Fortune 1000s to SSI s full array of service or enhancing services for existing accounts, Sue utilizes her extensive background to help clients meet their MRO objectives. Trained in materials management from the start, Sue began her career in 1983 with a top ranking manufacturer of heavy trucks which operated more than 600 sales, parts, and service centers. She transitioned from Materials Requirement Planning to purchasing, rising to a senior buying position with bottom line responsibility. Nine years later, Sue became Purchasing Manager and Facilities Manager for an equipment components manufacturer, broadening her expertise to include medical diagnostic products. In 1994, Sue joined a $1.8 billion electronic instrument and electromagnetic device manufacturer as Director, Division Purchasing. Managing $50 million in material, MRO, and logistics, she instituted a global supply chain management program which leveraged international sourcing and process control to achieve significant cost reductions. In 2001, she became Director, E-Procurement, leading the company s e-procurement initiative for thirty-three North American sites. In 2003 Sue became Director of Business Development for a supply chain integrator, leaving in 2006 to join Storeroom Solutions as VP, Supply Chain. Sue graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and received an MBA in Operations from Kutztown University. She earned her lifetime C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) accreditation from the Institute for Supply Management. Sue and her husband are raising two sons in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. |
