Sudhakar is a seasoned, team-oriented professional with more than 30 years experience in biomedical engineering, state-of the-art medical equipment planning and project management. His previous experience includes Site Director / Manager of the Department of Biomedical Engineering for New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, one of the nation's top university medical centers and an affiliate of Columbia University and Cornell University. He is innovative and an analytical problem solver who understand the needs of mission-critical clinical departments and functions. He delivers a patient-centric approach and is skilled in working with senior management and physicians. He holds certifications in Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Technology.
He received his BS in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mysore in Surathkal, India and a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Surrey in Guildford, United Kingdom. In addition to his experience at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Sudhakar has worked for hospitals in Canada and Saudi Arabia and at Surrey University in the United Kingdom. He is very active in the field of clinical engineering and is a member of the U.S. Board of Examiners for certification in Clinical Engineering. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children. |
