Stuart Siegel, M.D., associate director for pediatric oncology at USC/Norris, is head of the division of hematology-oncology and founding director of the Childrens Center for Cancer & Blood Diseases at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. He is also professor and vice chair of pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is internationally known for his research on acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, neuroblastoma, new agent trials, supportive care of pediatric cancer patients and the effects of childhood cancer on adult survivors.
The recipient of numerous national awards, Siegel was honored in 1996 with the establishment of the Stuart E. Siegel, M.D., Chair in Pediatric Oncology at Childrens Hospital and the Keck School. Siegel has served as the president of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California since 1978, and has been on the Global Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities since1988. He also chairs advisory boards of the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. |
