Representative Transactions: Representation of publicly traded bank holding company in $1.6 billion acquisition by Royal Bank of Canada (pending). Formation and capitalization of over $500 million of private equity, venture capital and private investment funds for numerous alternative investment firms and family offices. Representation of $100 million leveraged buyout fund in several portfolio company acquisitions, primarily in the manufacturing sector. Representation of publicly traded bank holding company in its acquisition of the Peachtree Bank and Florida Choice Bank. Representation of state and national chartered banks in public offerings of securities. Representation of financial buyer in acquisition of organic food company. Representation of investor group in strategic investment in community bank holding company. Representation of angel investor in geographical software company. Prior To Maynard Cooper: Prior to law school, Mr. Maxey worked as an Audit Senior at Arthur Andersen’s Atlanta office, where he worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies. He earned and is currently licensed as a CPA in Georgia. In addition, Mr. Maxey worked in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Atlanta during law school.
