E. Strode Weaver, FACHE, MBA, MHSA, is Executive Director of Oncology Services at the University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora Colorado. The cancer program at UCH is the only NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Rocky Mountain States and is the region’s leader in cancer research, clinical care, and medical education. His previous position was as Administrative Director of the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, Washington, the largest cancer treatment program in the Northwest enrolling over 4,000 tumor registry cases each year. Prior to his Swedish position, Mr. Weaver held positions as Director of the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center, Tacoma, Washington; Administrator of the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer ResearchCenter, Seattle, Washington; and Associate Administrator for Professional Services at the Flagstaff Medical Center, Flagstaff, Arizona. Mr. Weaver holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, a Master of Business Administration from UCLA, and a Master of Health Services Administration from Arizona State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Weaver is currently serving a one year term as the President of the Association of Community Cancer Centers. |
