Ms. Parker managed the formation of Targeted Genetics as a wholly owned subsidiary of Immunex Corporation (Immunex was subsequently acquired by Amgen) and has served as president, chief executive officer and a director of Targeted Genetics since our inception in 1989. She served in various capacities at Immunex from August 1981 through December 1991, most recently as vice president, corporate development. Ms. Parker also served as president and a director of Receptech Corporation, a company formed by Immunex in 1989 to accelerate the development of soluble cytokine receptor products, from February 1991 to January 1993. She serves on the board of directors and the executive committee of BIO, the primary trade organization for the biotechnology industry, and as a director of several privately held companies. Ms. Parker received her B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Washington. |
