Mr. Porter is responsible for directing all aspects of IONA's worldwide information technology resources. In this capacity, he focuses on promoting and advancing the company's strategic direction through IT innovation and enhanced infrastructure. Mr. Porter has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the IT industry.
Mr. Porter joined IONA from IBM, where he served as a Transitional Executive and Development Lab Manager, following the acquisition by IBM of Ascential Software, a $300 million company. Mr. Porter served as Chief Information Officer and a member of the executive operating committee of Ascential Software. Mr. Porter's tenure at Ascential Software originated in 1997 at Informix, which subsequently changed its name to Ascential Software. Prior to that, Mr. Porter held numerous senior management positions in various technology-oriented businesses. |
