Dr. Melman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois. He and his father were veterinarians for the White House, the Secret Service and the Washington, D.C. Police Dept. He is the founder of DermaPet, the manufacturer of natural, safe, and effective dermatological and dental products distributed worldwide. He operates referral practices in dermatology and behavior in Maryland and California and is an international lecturer.
