Dr. Meier is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with an emphasis in sports medicine and board-certified in orthopaedic surgery.
His particular areas of specialty include:
Arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff injuries and shoulder instability
Reconstructive cartilage and knee ligament surgery
State-of-the-art, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques for treating shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle problems
The developer of several innovative surgical techniques, Dr. Meier’s research has been published in orthopaedic specialty journals and textbooks. He has presented his work and taught advanced arthroscopic surgical techniques to orthopaedic surgeons in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
Additionally, Dr. Meier will hold a faculty appointment at the University of California, Irvine, and participate in orthopaedic resident training.
Dr. Meier is a graduate of the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, and served his residency training at Northwestern University, both in Chicago. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of California, in San Diego, where he also was a clinical instructor. |
