Steve Ledger has been the portfolio manager of the Merriman Focus Fund (previously known as Tamalpais Partners) since inception. Prior to forming Tamalpais he was most recently at eCompanies Venture Group where he was a co-founding managing partner and responsible for management of a $160 million Internet-focused corporate strategic venture capital fund. Before eCompanies Ledger was managing partner at San Francisco Sentry Investment Group where he served as the co-founder and sole portfolio manager for Storie Partners LP a long/short equity hedge fund. Ledger also served as senior investment officer at Kayne Anderson Investment Management in Los Angeles co-managing hedge fund portfolios. He began his career as a research analyst with Fidelity Management and Research in Boston. Ledger received his B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He is based in our San Francisco office.
