Steven A. Elms combines financial industry expertise gained in the venture capital, investment banking and securities trading arenas. Prior to Perseus-Soros, he served as a Principal in the Life Sciences Investment Banking group of Hambrecht & Quist, a leading underwriter and strategic advisor of the biotechnology industry, where he was involved in over 60 financing and M&A transactions, helping clients raise in excess of $3.3 billion of capital. Prior to H&Q, Elms traded mortgage-backed securities for two years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. In addition to serving as a Director of Ambit, Elms represents Perseus-Soros on the boards of Adams Laboratories and Novazyme Pharmaceuticals. He holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in human biology from Stanford University. |
