Mr. Steven Chan was recently promoted as the Chief Strategy Officer of Suntech. He was previously the company’s Vice President of Business Development since joining in September 2006. Mr. Chan will be focused on enhancing and solidifying Suntech’s long term focus to be a leading solar energy company. In addition to strategy and business development, he will also be responsible for the marketing and investor relations functions. His near term focus will be to head new business initiatives in North America as well as to foster key relationships with partners and suppliers. Prior to joining Suntech, Mr. Chan worked at CDC, a NASDAQ-listed, Greater China-based enterprise software and mobile applications company, most recently serving as its Acting CEO and previously as its General Counsel and Company Secretary. Prior to that, Mr. Chan was a New York-qualified corporate attorney with Morrison & Forester LLP and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCoy LLP. Mr. Chan graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and also received a JD law degree from the Boston College Law School. |
