Steven T. (Terry) Clontz is a veteran in the telecoms industry with over 33 years of extensive experience. He began his career in the United States, and has worked internationally for the past 18 years. He moved to Singapore in January 1999 to head the joint venture start-up company, StarHub.Although it started operations only in April 2000, StarHub is currently the second largest telecommunications company in Singapore. It is the only company offering the full suite of Information, Communications, and Entertainment services over a combination of Fixed, Mobile, Internet and Cable TV networks. Today, StarHub's annual turnover exceeds SGD1.5 billion.With a degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro, Terry began his career as an engineer with Southern Bell in 1973. He joined BellSouth International in 1987. During his eight years there, he held senior executive positions, serving the last three years as President-Asia/Pacific Region responsible for Bellsouth's corporate development and operations in the region. From 1995 through 1998, Terry served as CEO and President of IPC Information Systems Inc., based in New York City. |
