Steve Rowley, 54, was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Materials Inc. (formerly Centex Construction Products) in September 2003.
Mr. Rowley joined the company in 1991 as Plant Manager of Nevada Cement Company. In 1995, he became Executive Vice President of Illinois Cement Company, an Eagle Materials subsidiary, and was named Executive Vice President, Cement in 1998. In January 2001, Mr. Rowley's responsibilities expanded when he assumed the role of Executive Vice President, Cement and Aggregates/Concrete for the corporate parent.
Mr. Rowley has more than 27 years' and senior management experience in the portland cement industry. Prior to joining the company, he was Project Manager and Plant Manager for Florida Crushed Stone. Previously, Mr. Rowley served as Manager at Kaiser Cement Company and Chief Chemist and Process Engineer of Gifford Hill Company.
Mr. Rowley holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Arizona. |
